Coffee brewing talk: everything you want to know this morning

Well, that was quite the weekend, huh? And I'm not even talking about the rain. Hello Eurovision sniff date, hello Lil Kleine in jail in Ibiza, how's it going? Anyway, you know the drill. The first cup of coffee has just been poured, the morning fairy tale newspaper opened, the news scanned, and so it's time for the coffee chat moment. You can start that caffeine brew, and I'll catch you up.

Really: Italian Eurovision winner tests negative for drugs
Did we all see it so wrong? In any case, the Italian singer Damiano David, who won the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday, has tested negative for drug use. That was announced by the organization behind the Eurovision Song Contest yesterday. David responded with one word to the negative result of his drug test. ‘Voilà,’ he wrote on Instagram Stories on Monday alongside a screenshot of the statement from the European Broadcasting Union. The French Minister for European Affairs demanded that the Italian rock band be disqualified if it turned out that David indeed had snorted cocaine.

I wish there wasn't such an easy bridge to the next story...
...but where drugs were indeed being taken through the nose, things also got quite chaotic this weekend. Lil Kleine was arrested by the police in Ibiza on the night from Saturday to Sunday. The case of the rapper (who is suspected of assaulting his fiancée Jaimie Vaes and reportedly smashing a glass on her head) has already been dropped. What exactly happened in the hotel remains unclear, but one thing is certain: famous Netherlands is done with Lil Kleine's behavior.

Olcay Gulsen writes spot on on Instagram: ‘Dear Jaimie, choose yourself and your son. You are such a beautiful strong woman,’ followed by a Story with: ‘Turning a blind eye is approving 1TP5Domestic violence.’ Horace Cohen calls on record label Top Notch to stop collaborating with Lil Kleine. Isa Hoes responds below with: ‘Lul Kleine!’ Influencer Selma Omari also speaks out critically: ‘Ya’ll see. White privilege at its finest. Dear @topnotchnl and everyone who spoke out about Bilal. Same energy please because this shit is unacceptable. Funny how some artists immediately write off Bilal, but are still waiting for Jorik.’

Is it time for some good news? YES. LA CASA!
Good news for fans of El Professor & co, because the fifth season of La Casa is coming. In two parts no less. The first five episodes will be available on Netflix from September 3, the last five episodes from December 3. ‘We wrote season five in the middle of a pandemic and felt we needed to adjust the expectations for the ten new episodes. We have used all possible means to give the sensation of a season finale in the first half of part five where the gang feels defeated. In part two, we focus more on the emotions of the characters. It's a sentimental journey that directly connects us to their departure,’ said writer Álex Pina.

Excited.
