Domino's has seen the light and is stopping with pineapple on pizza

You have those questions that will always occupy your mind. What came first, the chicken or the egg? Will we ever be able to time travel? Do aliens exist? Does pineapple belong on pizza? You know, the more important questions in life.
Now we finally have an answer to one of those questions. And the answer is: no. NO. Pineapple does NOT belong on a pizza. Now I must say that I really don't want to call myself an Einstein, but I could have predicted this answer myself as well. Because come on... Who does this? And I can know, you know. I think so myself. I actually started my career at one of the most ~authentic~ pizza chains that exist: New York Pizza. And I noticed it right away, I tasted it right away when it was once over (because this pizza was surprisingly often not picked up); pineapple does not belong here at all.
And another ~authentic~ pizza company has finally realized this. Domino's is stopping it. Not with making pizzas of course, but with that pineapple on the pizza. Since the 1960s it has been a point of discussion and the little bit of Italy that still influences Domino's pizza has won. Bye pizza Hawaii. You were an iconic pizza, but there is a time to come and a time to go.
By the way, if you do like pineapple on your pizza, you have just a little while to say goodbye: from Monday, March 29, it will be off the menu.
As a farewell, I have this TikTok video that I found hilarious. And yes, I genuinely like spinach on pizza, so maybe I'm just as much of a culture barbarian as the Hawaii lovers.
