Expedition Robinson: the Aftertalk

Sunday evening is nowadays of course Robinson evening, so I was ready for it again. I must honestly say that I still haven't gotten used to the fact that it's twice a week and that it's alternating which camp you follow. Just when I was really into JayJay and Sterrin, we obviously won't see them tonight. It's nice that we will see Yuki and co tonight, but I still find it all quite an adjustment. Four camps is just a bit too much for one season of Robinson. I can't handle it all, man. Especially when on one of those four islands Rob and John are also there together, and those two seem to be the only ones who are made impossible to leave the program. Pfff…

1. Rob still has a score to settle with Anouk. I think that's fine. More than fine. But can Rob then also get the opportunity instead of having to do absolutely NOTHING on that island?

2. Snake person Dyantha. HAHA. Sorry Dyantha, but this nickname is going to stick. A bit of your own fault too.

3. Annemiek feels excluded because she only voted for Sylvana now. Didn't she vote for Sylvana in ALL possibilities? No idea what her beef is with Sylvana, but they don't exactly get along.

4. John de Bever as island supervisor… Seriously, makers: don't let Expeditie RobenJohn degrade into a retreat like this. They have just become part of the furniture there.

5. I absolutely do not want Jasper to go home, so Jasper will probably go home since this season is going absolutely NOTHING as I wish.

6. Heyyy, this finally looks like a challenge that I could not only do, but also enjoy.

7. That poor Sylvana who crashes right into that platform. Okay, during the previews it looked a bit more intense, but still not really smooth.

8. And finally we see a bit more of Robert. I really had high expectations of him, but he gets so little screen time. A bit more Robert, a bit less John please.

9. But if lifecoach Jan lets his courage sink, you know there's trouble brewing. But leave it to that same lifecoach to tie such a loop in it. How brilliant is that?

10. Do you remember that Yuki feared for his place? How then? That guy does every challenge really well. It would have been really unfair if he had been kicked out then.

11. That Camp South was going to win this challenge was already clear within the first five seconds. Props for the edit that it still looked quite exciting.

12. No matter how annoying I find him, John is the only one who is non-stop honest this season. ‘I prefer Jasper to win.‘ Yes, nobody specifically asked for it, but thanks for your opinion again.

13. Uh, I don't get this for a moment. The ladies are three, the men are two. And — this often happens in Robinson — those are the two camps. Why does the minority still have the say?

14. Those girls can just decide with the three of them to throw Defano or Jan out, but that's not even considered an option. I really don't get that at all.

15. Pure panic if I had to do this task, let alone with so little food and zero energy. I would give up in advance. Not for me.

16. And then that strict ‘no.’ from Nicolette. That really makes you lose your courage immediately, right?

17. SEE? Nothing is going this season as I want. Goddammit. Jasper out. I need to throw some things.

19. John is honestly the only one ever who mainly finds peace and is taken care of on Expeditie RobenJohn.

20. It's also bizarre to realize that snake person Dyantha and her crew have no idea that there are still two other islands where a group is also sitting. They are mainly busy with the merging, while we at home are mainly busy counting down before someone finally really goes home.

21. And then being really sour that it's Stefano and Jasper. Still salty.

22. Sandra is definitely the hero of today's episode: just standing up for your buddy. That's how we like to see it. Bye Annemiek, I'm a bit worried for your place.

23. #durftevragen: how do all participants keep their teeth so white? It seems like a trip to Expeditie equals four times teeth whitening. Maybe I should stop brushing too?

24. ‘This way you keep very few people.’ Yes. Nicolette. That. We. Know. Ourselves. Too. Well. Damn.

25. ‘Sweetheart, I've of course voted for you more often, but tonight it's purely tactical.’ What... Was it personal before then? Purely personal? Because I just really don't like you that much?

26. Next week we see how Annemiek is once again voted out without mercy because ‘there's no cutting into your own flesh.’ Nobody sees that coming of course.

27. Low key curious about the drama between Loiza and Loek by the way. They can do cliffhangers well there.
