vertellis is the game you want to play this holiday season

To be honest: I'm not really someone who gets mega happy about Christmas. I just think it's ‘fine’, but Mariah Carey is not on repeat for me and decorating the Christmas tree is not the most fun task of the year. In fact: maybe I won't even have a Christmas tree in my house. What I like most about Christmas is the good food and drinks with people you care about. That can be family, but definitely also with friends.

So Christmas Eve has become a tradition among my friends: everyone brings something, there's enough drinks and there are enough games. Now I am really a big game fan so I think everything is fine, but the past two years we played 30 Seconds and that was with varying success. Okay, fine: we just had explosive arguments. Oops. This year I have been given the task of organizing a game that we can actually enjoy and that won't lead to arguments.

Mission accomplished, because I'm coming this year with Vertellis to the table, a game that has different editions (I went for the Holiday edition) with all kinds of questions. Very nice because we are with a reasonable group, of whom not everyone speaks to each other regularly. With these cards, you ask those questions to get closer to each other again, what really stood out for everyone this year in terms of highs and lows and what occupies people. I'm super curious because I think I'll also get surprising answers from those I already talk to a lot.

So a recommendation. I'm going to play it with friends, but there is also a family edition (which I might buy for Christmas Day, because then I'm with family) and a relationship edition. So something for everyone and a lovely evening guaranteed.
