Hollywood couples that we don't believe a word of

Hollywood couples that were not sincere

That not all relationships in Hollywood are pure and sincere is no longer a secret, right? I mean, relationships purely for PR. Because it comes out that there is a movie or new music coming out, or that it is a fake relationship because the celeb(s) in question might still be in the closet — also known as beards — I seriously believe that Hollywood is crawling with fake relationships. And in a very exceptional case, the celebs later admit that it wasn't entirely sincere, and in other cases, they don't have to tell that at all, because it was already painfully obvious. For example, with these relationships.

1. Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston
Don't get me wrong, I am a really big fan of Taylor Swift, but this... This was just painful. Especially when Tom was spotted wearing that ridiculous T-shirt that said: ‘I love T.S.’ It quickly became clear that no one believed their relationship, and while it was supposed to create good PR, it did the exact opposite. To no one's surprise, this ‘romance’ (better called showmance) was over quickly.

2. Shawn Mendes and Hailey Bieber
Many also believe that his current relationship with Camila Cabello is also purely for show, but I'm not entirely sure about that. But before that, he was with Hailey Bieber (then Baldwin) for about ten minutes, and that was very clearly fake. He wanted more publicity, she wanted to make Justin jealous: they could help each other with that. Then Justin came back with his tail between his legs, and it was over between the two.

3. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson
Yes, I really don't believe a word of this. They starred together in a movie (well, the only movie that mattered at the time) and I truly believe that was the only reason they were in a ‘relationship’. Friends: okay, I believe that, but more? Nah. Poor Kristen who then ‘cheated’ with director Rupert Sanders and got all of Hollywood on her case because of a fake relationship.

4. Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens
Yeah sorry, but I also don't believe anything of this. High School Musical is of course a Disney production, and if you know a bit about how they operate at Disney... They want to do everything for the absolute best promo, so it's no coincidence that they became a couple during the first movie and shortly after the release of the third movie it was over. Coincidence? I don’t think so.

5. Henry Cavill and Kaley Cuoco
Nope, nope, nope. They didn't get away with this for a second, and I guess that's why they were ‘broken up’ in no time. A very strange couple, I think they were photographed together once, no one believed anything about their relationship and bam: it was over again. Not surprising if you can't remember this couple anymore.

6. Taylor Swift and Harry Styles
Sorry, but T-Swift really needs to be on this list again, because this was also not a coincidence: she had to promote her album Red, he the second album of One Direction (Take Me Home), so this is a simple equation. An added benefit for Taylor was that she could later write some songs about it, and Harry moved on to Kendall Jenner.

7. Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk
If you venture into the darker side of the world wide web, you might have come across it: Bradley Cooper is not into women. Just like Hugh Jackman, by the way. Now, a month ago, I spoke to a woman who worked behind the scenes at a major magazine and had met both gentlemen... And she could confirm it. Well, you can never be sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if this relationship was purely for PR.

8. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes
I don't need to elaborate seriously on this, do I? Katie signed a gag contract, but eventually — fortunately — managed to escape.
