I watched Jaimie Vaes: In The Vaes Lane and this is what I thought

Oooh delicious, so nice on Thursday yesterday: on the couch with a new episode of Jaimie. And of course, I was ready for it right away, because last week it was quite a teaser of the highest order. I mean: they were going to play padel and there was an Indonesian dance being performed. You don't want to miss that, do you? Nooo, those creators really know how to captivate their audience every week. So yes, I was glued to the screen for 25 minutes (of which of course two minutes is pure repetition from previous episodes) and everything went through my mind.

1. WOW. What is this? Creators, did you listen? Just dive into the juicy stuff right at half a minute. I take everything back. This is going to be a sensational episode, I can feel it in everything.

2. ‘It wasn’t a fun evening.’ Jaimie is definitely The Queen of Understatements, I believe.

3. But BFF Koen clearly sees that too: ‘You always play the puppet show.’ I’m totally for her choosing what’s best for herself. Let that Lil Kleine go and find a real man.

4. Heeee, Dieuwertje is back. Okay, to be honest: I already knew that Dieuwertje was still in the picture because I saw her on Jaimie's Insta. Yes, I have indeed dived in completely. But isn’t it quite nice that she is still Lío's nanny?

5. Am I really so stupid that I didn’t know Jaimie had fake hair? I was seriously quite jealous of those long locks, but they are beautifully sewn in. I’m going to save up for that too.

6. Okay, Koen: you can always organize a party for me. A Balinese chef sounds like music to my ears. I also think it would be wonderful if my friends dance Balinese for me. GREAT evening.

7. Anyway, I’m learning quite a lot from this episode. Bunny lines? Buddy lines? Should I already start worrying about wrinkles on the sides of my nose? Panic.

8. Okay, and I also need to counteract wrinkles in my neck. Because: prevention is better than cure, says Mrs. Botox Doctor herself. Or well, it wasn’t Botox, but I have no idea what was injected. A whole new world is opening up for me, wow.

9. But honestly: isn’t it just too sweet when your friends arrange an entire evening for you? With a private chef and in a complete theme. Cute.

10. One big similarity between her friends and my friends is that the exact same reaction comes when I refuse a glass of wine. ‘Oh. BORING.’

11. Koen isn’t entirely sure if the surprise was really appreciated. Seriously, give me such an evening, I say. You can’t make me happier. Good food, wine, and dancing. Sounds perfect.

12. HAHA. Koen doing that Balinese dance as if he’s in the middle of a photoshoot. Bam, pose. Bam, another pose. Delightful.

13. Hm, I really thought Lío's birthday was in Ibiza (and that it wasn’t very fun, because afterwards Jaimie and Lil were constantly following and unfollowing each other). Although a magical forest party in Amsterdam sounds just as fun, by the way.

14. It also sounds like a really nice party that she is planning for herself. By the way, I have never ordered a custom-made outfit for a birthday for myself or my friends.

15. They should be happy if they get a drink. HAHA. No, that’s not true. But I prefer my money to go towards my bank account rather than everyone’s outfits. A little difference in priorities, I think.

16. Yesss, finally it’s time for padel. The moment we’ve all been waiting for.

17. I really love how Koen sneaks in a smooth wink in his confessionals every minute. So subtle. Love it.

18. I seriously learned something in this episode: the rules of padel. Just a really educational program, that In The Vaes Lane.

19. Koen acts like that Balinese dancing is during a photoshoot, but he also stands at padel as if he’s walking a fashion show. Oh well, who needs ball sense when you always look fashionable?

20. And then the big question: what exciting things will we see next week? Jaimie and Willem are shocked by Koen's finger, Koen is shocked by a snake, and Jaimie doesn’t know the way in the car. Well, that sounds totally great again, doesn’t it? Is it Thursday yet?
