I watched Jaimie Vaes: in the Vaes lane and this is what I thought

Yessss, after quite a bit of delay, it's finally here: the first episode of the second season of Jaimie Vaes: in the Vaes Lane. I personally really enjoyed the first season, but I guess the second season will be a bit more loaded... Because yes, the recordings were of course halted due to the incident in Ibiza and the break (or rather not-break? I think they don't even know the status of their relationship, let alone us) will probably come up as well. Right? The first episode went online yesterday and I naturally had all sorts of thoughts about it.

1. Seriously, if we get an intro of almost two minutes for every episode again, I will really get annoyed. Those episodes don't even last half an hour, we just want to dive right in.

2. HUH? Stop. They wanted to move the wedding anyway because of all the corona measures in Ibiza? I'm predicting it now: those two are just going to get married and then act like this little incident wasn't interesting at all and that it definitely wasn't the reason the wedding isn't happening this summer.

3. Oh wait, Jaimie literally says that in her confessional now too. And she also literally says that this isn't necessarily a cancellation but really a postponement. This was a prediction that came true very quickly.

4. Fortunately — but also somewhat expected — Koen is also back in the picture, so that's definitely going to be fun.

5. Holy shitballs, that villa. That. Villa. This is just not normal? Where do you find a friend who has such a mansion? It looks like he even has an extra room available, so count me in.

6. No seriously, The Real Housewives could learn a thing or two from this. Houseporn at its finest, this. And then Madame Vaes says she has never swum in that pool? I would never want to get out of there, man.

7. With a bit of luck, I have friends who have a boat on a sunny day. Well, a little boat. And in nine out of ten cases, it's broken anyway.

8. And of the 25 minutes that an episode lasts on average, at least three are already about Koen Kardashian's feet. Even worse: how dirty and ugly they are. Look, that's quality TV.

9. ‘You're in a house worth fifty million, and the water is that cold. What a poverty.’ HAHA. Honestly: I share this irritation. Nothing is as annoying as cold water in your pool.

10. Koen is really the best BFF, who just jumps into that cold water for the perfect Insta photo.

11. For comparison: I was on vacation with my best friend and we barely got four photos where I don't look completely cross-eyed in two of them.

12. So weird to think that when this was filmed, everything in the Netherlands was still closed. What a pure misery that was. Fortunately, we have already been able to enjoy how nice life used to be for two whole weeks.

13. ‘If we're going to move again this summer, to Ibiza.’ Uh, excusez-moi, Jaimie? The gossip magazines were full of it that Jaimie was moving to Ibiza without Lil Kleine. Turns out that has long been a plan, for the break?

14. Lil Kleine is notably absent and I don't mind that at all. Koen > Lil Kleine.

15. It's nice that wedding planner Hella is also along for the whole trip. Seems like a pretty fun job from what I see.

16. Ah, and Estelle is also in attendance. Who apparently is going to write a book? So we stay updated.

17. Okay, Estelle is going to write a book about healthy shakes and a healthy lifestyle. And Jaimie and she are now going to make healthy shakes at home. I feel a bit of shameless promo for Estelle here.

18. In the world of nude model painting, I am not known and I had no idea that auditions could even be held for that. Really a different Amsterdam world that Koen and Jaimie live in.

19. Whuuut, is it already over? Time flies by every week, I swear.

20. Fortunately, we will see everything again next week. Jaimie is going to dance Indonesian with her friends and they are going to play padel. Crazy-house.

Oookee, a quick recap. What did we learn from this episode? That Koen has dirty feet, that Estelle is promoting her new book, and that nude models actually have to audition. And that as viewers, we still haven't learned anything about the situation surrounding Lil Kleine. But was it enjoyable again? It was enjoyable again.
