I watched Jaimie Vaes: In The Vaes Lane and this is what I thought

Jaimie in the Vaes Lane Life episode 5

Yesterday it was that time again, a brand new episode. I don't know why, but I have a feeling that next week will already be the last episode of this season. Maybe I should just make a list of what we have been able to watch in the episodes. I think I can wrap it up in about 150 words, because besides drinking wine, going out to eat, and shopping, there wasn't much else. And to be honest: this episode is the best example of that.

So are you ready to see Estelle in a bikini and Koen and Jaimie emptying a store? I get it: you can't wait.

1. Shall we start again this week with a confession about the break between Lil and Jaimie?

2. Such a hint of the veil with such vague info that you can't really do anything with it.

3. HUH? Are we getting a longer intro this time? They even settle down at a terrace to talk about it. This is going to be juicy. I can feel it.

4. ‘Fun is different,’ says Jaimie about her boyfriend who was locked up at the time because he allegedly had hurt her quite a bit. Understatement of the century.

5. And she also emphasizes that it really is a break. Not a break-up. And all the viewers sigh disappointedly.

6. Who would have thought: the voice of reason this episode is Koen Kardashian. Jaimie, listen to your BFF. He knows what's best for you.

7. Because that Lil Kleine really needs to accept that she is choosing for herself. Well, that's what Koen thinks and I believe you and I think so too.

8. It's a bit of a shame that she didn't hold on to it for very long, because I think they are just back to so happy together and then the next day again fighting (including following and unfollowing each other on Instagram daily).

9. On to something light: interior shopping for her new apartment that used to belong to Paris Hilton.

10. I think it would be wonderful to do interior shopping that way. That you don't have to look at the prices. And that you call such an apartment ‘quite spacious’. HAHA. Quite spacious. She would really find my house a postage stamp.

11. But well, if Jaimie does something, it is of course only the best is good enough. So also yoga. Not in a sweaty gym like we do, but with the most beautiful view of Ibiza.

12. I just don't know if doing yoga with Koen would work very well for my relaxation. Especially not if he also finds the yoga teacher attractive.

13. It's very nice that Estelle is also part of their friend group, but I still find that little group a bit strange.

14. I mean: I think the only thing that binds them is the love for alcohol and luxury trips?

15. ‘No, for Estelle no construction worker.’ If even your friends acknowledge that your criteria for men is a high bank account, then it's a bad situation.

16. #durftevragen: how does Jaimie get to know all those people? They work for the royal family of Qatar or appear in Cardi B's music video. I certainly don't run into them often at the Appie.

17. Highlight of this episode: that incredibly cute Lío. I've never seen him laugh so much as in this episode. Absolutely adorable.

18. Now I must honestly say that in the rest of the episode, nothing really happened either. Except for chit-chat about rich men and bikinis.

19. Yes, sorry, Jaim: you have outdone yourself a bit. I will definitely keep watching, but this week was particularly uneventful.

20. HO, wait. Is something noteworthy happening at the last minute?

21. No. Jaimie and Koen are going shopping.

22. Of course, madame lives above the newest hotspot in Ibiza and needs to buy a new outfit for a home game like this, which of course can cost a bit.

23. Next weeeeeeek: finally Jaimie sees the light. She feels more like herself again in the past two months.

24. Maybe she should just watch this series back herself and come to the same conclusion as all of us: that she deserves better than a relationship like this.

So, was this the very best episode? Neuh. We got to see how Jaimie and Koen go shopping not once, but even twice. For a series like In The Vaes Lane, even that is extremely pointless. Who knows better next week. I have of course high hopes.
