I watched the third week of Love Island and this is what I thought

A new week naturally means brand new episodes of Love Island and that we've just completed another week that I need to go through with you. Last week was a bit the bashing week of Yasmin, but honestly: it couldn't have been any different. And then you secretly hope that she'll do better this week, but did she actually succeed?
I also want to take a moment to highlight that episode from Sunday. Because on Saturday you get an unnecessary cliffhanger about the return of Casa Amor. Unnecessary because it's just lame, come on: just cram everything into one episode because you really don't have to be afraid that we won't check in for the next episode. It's going to be drama anyway, so we're just there again.
But then you get a teaser for the next episode and I think: which episode are you talking about? Do I seriously have to watch that hour on Sunday with nothing but pointless repeats and questions like ‘what's your guilty pleasure?’, which no one cares about? Well, I just fast-forwarded through the entire episode (sorry Videoland) and we only see the resolution tonight. Great.
But no worries, because the other six episodes were just enjoyable. Except when it comes to Yasmin, because she was once again very mediocre this week.
1. Am I the only one who is completely fed up with the fact that at literally every event a kind of group huddle forms and the guys sing songs?
2. Seriously, if someone goes on a date, if there's a party, if breakfast is being made, if there's kissing... It feels like I'm watching a group eight camp.
3. And why is no one talking about the fact that Donny is wearing two different shoes? Not even two that look alike, but just one black and one white. Is this fashion? Should I start doing this too?
4. Speaking of unexpected things: do I suddenly think Deniz and Nina are the cutest couple in the villa?
5. The kiss between Yasmin and Joey: it was... Odd. It didn't really look like either of them was into it at all. Two worn-out shoe soles have more chemistry.
6. Should we also talk about the fact that Jim is basically just a younger version of Jochem Myjer, minus the energy?
7. Anyway, Jim is really the psychologist of the villa. He just goes around asking everyone random questions to get to know them better. ‘Did you have a nice childhood?’ ‘Hey, but how was your relationship with your parents actually?’ Pfff, it could be a bit lighter, you know.
8. Yeah, sorry, I really wanted to be more positive this week but Yasmin: you're making it so difficult for me. And I'm trying so hard! But if you're going to cry within three hours when Joey has left for Casa Amor, then I can't help it.
9. Definitely not when the next day you're practically on top of Justin and your whole breakdown seems to have been forgotten. But that's not us.
10. My faith in love is also being diminished a bit by Yasmin. You can't treat someone like that (Justin) and then go on to say that you miss Joey so much and have feelings for him?
11. ‘The thing is... I really have feelings for Joey. I really have feelings for that guy.’ Esmee doesn't believe her anymore, just like the rest of the Netherlands.
12. That poor Esmee is having a tough time anyway, because she is always the standard go-to for Yasmin to vent her complaints.
13. Wow, oooookay, Nina. The challenge is ON. That girl just wanted to seriously make out. And it's really nice that my favorite couple is finished in no time thanks to Casa Amor.
14. Every time I see Jim's out of bed look, I feel the urge to put some gel in it. I get the whole look, you know, nice effortless, but this is quite intense.
15. The idea of a serious conversation between Job and Joey:
‘Yeah, I really have feelings for that girl, man.’
‘That's good, man.’
‘Yeah, man.’
‘But now you know that things are good between Esmee and you, man.’
‘Bro, that's such a nice feeling, man.’
‘I'm really happy for you, man.’
‘Thanks, man.’
16. No. I'm NOT going to do it. I was just about to make a point about Yasmin's ridiculous jumping dance in front of the mirrors outside while no one was watching but I'm NOT going to do it.
17. Aww, that poor Sara. All of the Netherlands already knows that Jim has maybe thought about her for a total of two minutes in Casa Amor. I like Sara, can she stay?
18. Seen on Twitter: ‘I want to see footage! Eyyy take it easy girl, this isn't Temptation’ HAHA, praise Twitter.
19. And in the category #durftevragen: what is the match between Loesje and toilet paper?
20. Aww, and the first relationship is a fact. And that also makes it clear that everyone is just secretly watching for the drama. Esmee + Job + relationship = boring. Oh well, I actually think they're really cute. Two happy eggs.
Okay, tonight is the big reveal of whether Joey comes back alone (no) and whether Yasmin has a breakdown from it (yes). I really think Nina and Paulo are a cute couple, but was that shade towards Deniz really necessary? They've both found a better match, so that's only good news, I think. Anyway, I'm ready for the Big Yasmin Show tonight.
