These are the most beautiful makeup looks for the holidays

How are you sitting at the Christmas table this year? Not in your tracksuit with your hair in a bun, right? If you're still looking for a cool pantsuit or the prettiest dress, then Lil has gathered them all for you. She is counting down the days and I understand that, because I am also so looking forward to it. Of course, a beautiful makeup look goes along with your outfit. This year we are going for the full package and as far as beauty trends are concerned, we can count ourselves lucky, because anything goes. I have different options for you and the only thing you need to do is make the choice for which look you are going for this year and how to execute it best. Or you can go for a combo; anything is allowed.
Red lips are never out of style
Red lipstick will definitely make your teeth look whiter, so guaranteed a beautiful smile on the family photo. Are you a bit hesitant with this look because you are afraid that the lipstick will be everywhere except on your lips by the end of the night? Then I have a tip for you: use a translucent powder or a bit of talcum powder to ‘set’ the color. You can do this very easily with a tissue, a brush, and the powder. Apply the red lipstick, place the tissue on your lips, and gently dab the brush with powder over your lips. This way, the powder filters through the tissue onto your lips and keeps your brush clean. Check the video below for proof and see how to do it. A lip primer, lip liner, and a long-wear lipstick also help a lot, but if you don't have those at home, this is the perfect solution.

Glitters, metallics, and even more glitters
Last week I have already shared many great tips for a nice glitter on your eye. Here I have gathered some more inspiration to get started with.

Funky eyeliner
Do you have a steady hand and can you draw beautiful lines? Then go for an eyeliner in multiple shades or lines. Celine Bernaerts is a trendsetter and an expert in this and always comes up with the most creative ideas. You need a liquid eyeliner with a sharp tip for this. The best part is to apply the line in one motion. Practice a bit beforehand on your hand or on a piece of paper, that saves you hassle with makeup remover. If you dare to apply it to your eyes, make sure you have cotton swabs and a covering concealer nearby so you can make it tighter afterwards.

Not just sequins or rhinestones on your dress
They can also go on your eyes. On the red carpet, you saw many models and influencers with stones around their eyes, or even all over their face. Maybe that's a bit too enthusiastic for the Christmas dinner, but those stones on your eyes can be quite fun. Use skin-friendly glue (like the glue you use for false eyelashes) and stones in different colors or sizes. Then apply a small amount of glue to the stone and use tweezers to place the stone neatly along your lash line, where you would normally apply eyeliner. If you want to keep it subtle, just do it in the corners of your eyes, you'll be quicker and still have a subtle sparkle. Just make sure they come in about the same spot, otherwise it looks a bit silly.

Extra lashes can never hurt
Full lashes, long lashes, with glitters, feathers, or crazy patterns; you can think of anything and it's for sale. You're either very good at applying lashes and get it right or you're always a bit fiddling. You have to be handy, right? Nowadays, it's getting easier with magnetic lashes that stick to the eyeliner you apply first or lashes that stay on your eyes just by touching water: ideal. With tweezers and other tools, you often get quite far, but before you start, you should measure it first. You do this by holding the lash up to your eye, then you often see that you need to cut a piece off from the inside, otherwise, it will keep tickling the inside of your eye/brow or even your nose and you don't want that. Once measured, apply a thin layer of glue to the false lashes (if you're using the classic variant), so not on your eye, and wait a few seconds until the glue has dried a bit. Then bring the false lashes as close as possible to your own lash line and press them down well. You can also use a special kind of tweezers to push the false lashes and your own lashes together. A bit of mascara on your lashes and maybe a thin eyeliner if you can see the edge of the false lashes well, and voilà, your eyes are the eye catchers of the evening.

As long as your hair is good
Don't we all dream of Negin Mirsalehi's hair? Those beautiful shiny big curls are just the most beautiful, right? The trend now is to achieve that without using extremely hot tools like a curling iron, because that's not very good for your hair (despite the heat protection). We want to prevent our hair from breaking quickly, and with dyed hair and heat, this can sometimes happen faster. So we go for alternative solutions like the strap of a bathrobe, silk bands, socks, or curlers. For the best result, make sure your curls fall outward, just like Negin always has. You do this by ensuring that your hair turns away from your face, outward. The left part of your hair turns to the left and the right part to the right. Check below for all the alternative options for the most beautiful curls without heat.

Subtle braid
At the front of your face or tucked away at your neck or behind your ears, you can think of anything. The look has been popularized by, among others, Margot Robbie on the catwalk and you still see it everywhere. Do you have straight hair and find it difficult to manage? Then this is the ideal solution. The trick with this braid is that you don't use an elastic. How do you do that? Read all about it. here Everything about it.
