Netflix tip of the day: Halston

Halston

New week, new opportunities, new Netflix addictions. Because yes, I have another really delicious tip for you. And it's one that will keep you busy for a while, as the entire first season is online. That's five episodes of about 50 minutes each, in other words, a good task to watch this week. Another plus? Ewan McGregor has the lead role.

Halston is the name of the series and it takes place in New York, which I also consider a plus. That city has something magical and as a setting for a film or series, I quickly become a fan. Okay, you know what? Let's continue with the positives of this series. It is based on true events: Halston tells the fascinating and juicy story of Roy Halston Frowick, an American designer who meant a lot for fashion at the time. He is also known as the BFF of none other than Liza Minelli (played by Krysta Rodriguez).

But don't worry, the series is not one big fashion spectacle. It's more about his empire that was in danger of collapsing. Halston's social status, combined with awkward transactions and the era when Studio 54 was all the rage (and the accompanying drugs as well), is what makes you want to watch the series.

I'm currently in the middle of it and I already want to continue binge-watching tonight. So if you've finished The Queen’s Gambit, Bridgerton, and the whole shebang: voilà. This will be your next mission.
