Netflix tip of the day: StartUp

Thank youuuu, Netflix. Seriously. I wanted to see this series for a while, as I only heard good stories about it. But then it wasn't on a streaming service I had a subscription to (although that's hard to imagine now) or it was only available in a somewhat illegal way. Until now, because I opened my Netflix today and saw very large at the beginning: StartUp. Yes, it's fully available on Netflix. So seriously: thank you.

Because this is really a great series. And mega interesting, especially if you don't understand anything about the whole cryptocurrency world. Or you do understand it and just find it very fascinating. Or you're just looking for an addictive series that you can binge three seasons of right away. Whatever the option is: check StartUp.

The series tells the story of GenCoin, a fictional digital coin founded by three entrepreneurs. Fun fact: one of those three is Adam Brody, aka Seth from The OC. But where a huge amount of money is involved, there is also a lot of crime to be found. So money is being laundered, attempts are made to save companies from their downfall, and then the corrupt FBI also comes around the corner.

Sounds intense and it actually is. It's quite thrilling and as I said: extremely interesting. Of course, the whole business side of the crypto happenings isn't that grim (or well, I wouldn't really know), and it's naturally made quite spectacular for television, but still, even if it's just a little bit as shown in StartUp, I find it quite tough.

Last argument then? The people who ensured that StartUp immediately entered the top ten of most streamed series worldwide (while the series had its last season in 2018) will probably be just as enthusiastic as I am.
