Off to Lidl for the Oreo ice cream cake

oreo ice cream cake

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: Oreo ice cream cake.

Summer is yet to come, but I'm already well prepared. Not in terms of six-pack, but definitely in terms of ice pack. Baking, bags, cakes... it doesn't stop. This is how I effortlessly snack from Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough (yes, that's the dough WITHOUT the ice cream, impossible, so delicious) to Monkey heads ice cream from Katja. And now I spotted something divine in the freezer section of Lidl: Oreo cake. Ice cold the best!

Experts and enthusiasts have known it for a while: with Oreo you can really go wild in the kitchen. How about Oreo-Nutella ice cream? Or lime cheesecake with Oreo brownies? Red velvet Oreo cake? All equally divine for the die-hard Oreo fan. But then you really have to get to work yourself, and for all those moments when you have neither the time nor the desire for it, I recommend a quick trip to Lidl.

Oreo, Oreóóóó
There’s an Oreo ice cream cake waiting in the freezer in the park or the gym.. What can you expect? Pieces of Oreo biscuit floating in vanilla-flavored cream, crunchy pieces of Oreo on top and of course an Oreo cookie base. Sounds heavenly, right? It's also on sale, for less than four euros fifty. Tip: take two right away. You'll score points at home with this.
