Paris Hilton is suddenly 40 years old and I feel ancient

Actually, we can call her the world's very first influencer. She started with reality TV when we didn't even know it existed. Paris Hilton turns 40 today, I just read at Boulevard. And suddenly I feel ripe for the nursing home. Because if Paris is now in her forties, that says a lot about my age.
To celebrate the birthday of the Hilton heiress, we're doing a little ‘how is it going now?’ And even though the world is now populated by influencers and reality stars, Paris still keeps things lively.
1. Paris is currently trying to have children with her beloved Carter Reum. I'm talking about plural, because the two have started an IVF process so they can choose for twins. Is it just me, or does this feel a bit like children on demand? Her eggs are apparently already frozen and waiting, because she got that tip from Kim Kardashian, who was still her assistant back then.
2. Presumably, Paris is the woman with the most jobs ever, but the fun ones. She went from model to actress to DJ to designer to singer to perfumer to author and now earns a living as a YouTuber and soon-to-be podcaster. I know worse jobs to do.
3. Even though the party gigs are currently on hold, until recently it was a lucrative business. They say Paris charges around 350,000 euros per hour to mix records. Suddenly, her inheritance of five million dollars seems like a small change compared to what she makes in a month. Although it is, of course, a nice starting capital.
4. Fact: when Paris started being famous, there was no – I repeat, NO – social media at all. Becoming famous without TikTok or Instagram seems impossible in 2021, but Paris Hilton did it. I think that's impressive.
5. The most recent news about Paris is that she testified in court against her old boarding school last week. As a teenager, she was sent to Provo Canyon School, which is meant for difficult-to-raise teens, where she was abused. In her YouTube series, Paris shares that she was beaten, choked, and locked up. As a 16-year-old girl, she went eleven months without fresh air, wasn't allowed to go to the bathroom alone, and was treated inhumanely. After her broadcast, more stories from former students came out, leading to an investigation.
6. Paris says that her appearance in The Simple Life was one big role and that she completely devised the course of her career herself. Her image was therefore a conscious choice. I don't know if this is outright smart or questionable. In any case, it has paid off for her, as she is worth 300 million dollars at 40. Time to get married and have children, Paris thinks now herself.
Happy birthday, Paris.
