Proven: the colder it gets outside, the better it is to eat chocolate

Does anyone drink tea on the couch in the evening without something nice to go with it? No, right? That seems almost impossible to me, because I only grab that cup of tea because I allow myself some chocolate with it.
Just take a bar
Well, you have to keep life fun, right? The streamers themselves… You get it. Now it certainly seems like a good idea to eat chocolate during the winter months. Researchers at the German Martin Luther University (MLU) and the Max Rubner Institute discovered that chocolate helps against the winter blues. It lifts your spirits. Those scientists have found that cocoa beans, cocoa butter, cocoa powder, and dark chocolate are a source of vitamin D2, something we all need during the winter months. Especially when it’s cold and bleak outside is.
No guilt
We all have too little vitamin D in our bodies because we spend less time outside and get less sunlight in a day. You should mainly eat dark chocolate. According to the researchers, people get about 90 percent of their vitamin D from the sun, and we miss that in winter. But if you eat wisely, you can nicely supplement that vitamin D deficiency. And one of those golden foods you need in winter is dark chocolate. Milk chocolate and white chocolate unfortunately contain much less vitamin D.
And okay, vitamin D is also found in other foods besides chocolate, of course. Think of fish like tuna or sardines, yogurt, milk, cheese, eggs, and orange juice. But yes, that chocolate is definitely the most fun choice if you want to work a bit on yourself during this harsh time of year. Are you being very smart about it.
