Proven: men with a low voice are less trustworthy

Such a heavy, sultry male voice: many women go wild for it. But it's actually not a good sign if your lover has a deep voice, research shows.

Because men with a low voice would generally be more unreliable, experts say.

It has been proven in a study involving hundreds of men. First, their voices were recorded and then it was examined how reliable they were in various situations. Both in economic matters and in love matters: whether they were a bit honest about money, for example. And whether they cheat, for example. You guessed it: the men with a low voice did more harm than good. The surprising thing is mainly that men do not so much lie about spending money, but rather about their love life.

So they are naughtier in love matters, those men with deep voices. They have more often strayed in their relationships than the men with, well, the somewhat softer, higher voice. So it may sound incredibly sexy, but it is not.

The reason? According to researchers, it's actually very simple. Women find men with a lower voice more attractive, regardless of what their face actually looks like. And yes, those men automatically get a bit more attention from the opposite sex in their lives. On average, they are flirted with more and thus they are quicker to be tempted to make a misstep.

And if you're going hunting this summer: especially choose a guy with a high-pitched voice. You'll be doing yourself a favor.
