Second season of Tiger King coming soon to Netflix

Finally, it's official: Tiger King is coming back. Now, that was somewhat to be expected, given the enormous success of the first season. And also because, after that first season, there was still much to do around Joe Exotic. He personally asked President Trump to free him from prison, with little success. Currently, he is incarcerated in the Grady County Jail in Oklahoma, where he is expected to remain for the next 22 years.

This second season is, by the way, different from the Tiger King project that is also in the pipeline at Netflix: a series starring Nicolas Cage. He will play Joe Exotic, but further details about that upcoming series are scarce.

Now you might be wondering, what will that second season look like if the person it revolves around is behind bars? And I don't think Carole Baskin is really looking forward to that second season either, as she would prefer to come up with her own series.

So there is a good chance that those two won't be seen much, but especially John Reinke — who has already spoken out about that second season. Who is he again? The animal caretaker with one leg. He will likely play a leading role alongside James Garretson (the somewhat shady businessman).

It is notable that suddenly on the Netflix site it stated that the second season was ‘coming soon’, but that has since been removed. Oops, mistake? Probably Netflix didn't want to announce it yet and someone got in big trouble. But now that we all know, can we get a few more hints about it?
