Sergio Herman and Ellemieke Vermolen split after thirteen years

Do you think that 2021 will be much better than the year before — it couldn't have been much different, right? — that certainly does not apply to Ellemieke Vermolen and Sergio Herman. While they indicated during the first lockdown that they had actually grown closer together (“we have never felt so connected”), the second lockdown seems to have gone differently. Oh well, this is all speculation of course, but Sergio Herman's management has at least announced that the couple is separating.

After thirteen years of marriage and two sons. In 2018, they had to deal with a difficult loss: their son Josha passed away just before birth. They both (understandably) do not want to say much about the reason behind the breakup. It was first reported this morning by the Belgian TV guide Dag Allemaal (what a name too) and confirmation soon came from them.

“I only speak on behalf of Sergio, but he will not say anything about this in the interest of the children,” said his management. In the past, they were quite open about their marital problems and it seemed that they had overcome them. Unfortunately not. May 2021 only get better for both of them.
