Shall we be a bit kinder to Meghan now?

Yesterday, Meghan and Harry shared the happy news that their daughter has been born. In doing so, they gave a long nose to everyone (I believe I was also part of that club) who found it hard to believe that her pregnancy was the reason she couldn't attend Prince Philip's funeral. Well then.

And we could have known that, because it is customary for royals or high-ranking individuals to communicate a slightly later date than the actual due date to mislead hungry paparazzi a bit. They then think: oooh, she won't give birth for a while, we can leave her alone for now, while in reality she is already quite close to contractions. So Meghan was really not fit to fly at the time of the funeral. Her absence was ‘technically’ not possible and had nothing to do with a statement or anything like that.

Then the name of the little one. They almost named her Kate, but further the names of the girl are a big call for restoring a good relationship. Lilibeth, the name Prince Philip used for Queen Elizabeth. The queen must be touched that her favorite Prince Harry has given his daughter her nickname. And then Diana. Of course.
