The 2-week lockdown plan

Tomorrow evening, Rutte and De Jonge will again sit behind the podiums and as usual, we already know what to expect. A light lockdown of about two weeks, is buzzing in the halls. Of course, it's sad, but all to be able to sit together at the Christmas dinner. So what do we have to do now? Here are some suggestions.
1. Stick baseboards
Hell yes that you left this task undone during the most recent renovation. These two weeks are perfect for adding a nice baseboard to your floor, a caulk edge to the bathroom, and repainting that wrong color.
2. Get a Christmas tree
It's a light lockdown, which means you can probably still go to Intratuin to get your pine tree. I brought my first (!) tree home around November 17 last year, and it really boosted the atmosphere. Too bad it decided to drop all its needles on the floor just before the festive joy, but that's a minor detail.
3. By the way, everything Christmas
Are you going to bake and roast your Christmas menu, including a wine arrangement, because it has to stay a bit cozy, of course. Write and send (the latter is important) your Christmas cards. Make a gift list and start stocking up; with a bit of luck, the stores will remain open and that can still happen. All to enjoy that hard-earned freedom after two weeks at home without worries.
4. Book your vacations for 2022
Everyone knows how much time it takes to scroll through all those hotels, cottages, and destinations. If you're sitting at home on the couch anyway, you might as well let your mind wander elsewhere. Forget last-minute, with a bit of luck, you can benefit for the first time in your life from an early booking discount.
5. Go squatting
It's not too late to get your butt in a stunning dress like J.Lo for the holidays. If staying at home has been good for something, it's that we can look forward to going outside again. Cruyff would say: every disadvantage has its advantage.
6. Be offline for a while
Everyone is complaining to me about stimuli, appointments, and people. Those two weeks seem like an excellent time to unwind together. Just in time to recover for all the social obligations. Go mushroom hunting in the woods, watch the sunrise in the dunes, or just turn off your phone for a nice weekend. No one will hold it against you during those two weeks.
