It was quite a ride. Not only for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, but also for us. They are probably the most talked-about couple in showbiz in the last ten years; Vogue even gave them the hashtag #worldsmosttalkedaboutcouple. And now it’s over, at least: Page Six reports that Kim and Kanye are getting divorced.
Time for the most remarkable facts.
1. Kimye's wedding took place at Valentino's estate, they threw a party at the Palace of Versailles, and they exchanged vows in Florence. While Kim's previous wedding was televised, her wedding to Kanye was kept private. It is said that her wedding to Kris Humphries cost 10 million dollars, making her wedding to Kanye a bargain. That one was ‘only’ 2.8 million dollars.
2. Firstborn North West (you still think of a weather forecast) was on the cover of Vogue at ten months old. She was dressed by the late Karl Lagerfeld in Chanel and photographed. Her wardrobe contains more Louis Vuitton bags than a child can carry. And she was quite upset that her little brother Saint was born, which Kim had a hard time with: “She does not like her brother and it’s so hard for me.”
3. The surrogate mother of Chicago earned 45,000 dollars with the pregnancy and the birth of Chicago, Kim and Kanye's third daughter.
