This is the Netflix movie everyone is talking about

Cancel your plans for tonight or at least block something in your agenda this weekend, because you want to see this movie. It's brand new on Netflix and is totally the talk of the town, so you want to know what all the fuss is about, right?

There's a good chance you've already seen it when you opened Netflix today, because you can't really miss it: Pieces of a Woman, starring somewhat troubled actor Shia LaBeouf (who as we speak has another lawsuit hanging over him for allegedly not treating his most recent girlfriend very well) and Vanessa Kirby in the lead roles. You might know her from The Crown, where she played Princess Margaret.

Why do you want to see this movie? It is based on the true story of a director and his screenwriter, who were in a relationship. It is a film about grief: they lost their unborn child but couldn't talk about it together. That's why she (Kata Webér) wrote a book about it, called Pieces of a Woman. And that has now been adapted into a film.

You probably already understand that this is not a light film that you watch casually. It is one where you will need tissues for your tears. It is also an important film, as miscarriages — and especially the taboo surrounding them — are still very relevant today.

Not that the whole film is about this sadness, by the way: Kata wants to get back to work as soon as possible and donate her deceased daughter to science. But not everyone agrees with that, and everyone has their own opinions about it. I could talk about it much longer, but the most important thing is actually just: WATCH IT.
