This was supposed to be the year of Samantha de Jong

On social media, news spreads like wildfire, and yes, unfortunately, that also includes the misery. So it happened that photos appeared on Instagram of various ambulances parked on the street of Samantha de Jong, better known as Barbie from Oh Oh Cherso. That was immediately the reason for all sorts of speculation: in 2018, similar images circulated because Samantha was urgently taken to the hospital.
This time, however, it turned out that it was not about Samantha; the ambulances were there for her boyfriend Gelmore. There was nothing more they could do for him: he unexpectedly passed away last night from a heart failure.
Seriously, how much misery can someone endure in one lifetime? Almost exactly a year ago, in April 2020, she was involved in a serious car accident in The Hague, where she was sitting in the passenger seat. The driver lost control of the steering wheel and crashed the car into a viaduct. Her manager at the time, Jake Hampel, said it was still uncertain whether she would survive.
Just half a year before that, Samantha had been open about a recent miscarriage, which she claimed was caused by all the stress. She already had two children with her ex Michael van der Plas: son Milano and daughter Angelina.
In the meantime, a son named Angelo has been added. At the beginning of this year, she became a mother again. Initially, she indicated that her then-boyfriend Gerrit was the father, but it soon turned out to be Gelmore, with whom she later entered into a relationship. ‘I always knew he was the father. Around this time last year, we briefly had something together. I got pregnant then. Something I didn't know. I only found out in the hospital when I had a car accident with my Gerrit,’ she said just a week ago.
Samantha indicated that she was incredibly happy with Gelmore (Gilly) and that she wanted to form a real family with him and their son. The two were so in love that they had each other's names tattooed: his on her décolletage and hers on his neck.
2020 was, to say the least, not Samantha's year. 2021 was supposed to be that year, with a happy relationship and a healthy baby. But things are going differently again...
