Close to my house is a really nice clothing store, Joe & Brown, named after the dogs of owner Claire. Her store is located right before an intersection with traffic lights and I experience intense happiness when I hit the red light right in front of her shop. Then I peek to the left at her window display and if there’s something I like (which is usually the case), I text her. It goes something like: ‘Hey Claire, those jeans with that shirt in the window, isn’t that something for me?’ Claire immediately knows if it fits or not and just brings it by the door. Claire is a fantastic buyer of clothing and jewelry, so when I once checked out (a long time ago, before the lockdown), I saw some lovely earrings from Just Marie. By now I am already richer by two pairs because I really find her earrings beautiful. She has them made in Bali and uses silver, 18-carat gold plating, semi-precious stones, and shells. Everything is handmade and especially light in the ear, which is also important. I also find them quite affordable so my collection is expanding, that’s for sure.
