With Fitbit Sense, kiki lasts

It is still the best birthday gift my mother and sister could give me: the Fitbit. My colleagues were already shouting this in 2018 (hello, back then I wasn't a fit person) and now I understand why. When you invest in your health, it's nice to have a sporty nudge. A reminder that gives you a little signal when you could use some fresh air. Even better: when it gives you a pat on the back and a confetti cannon when you've had a sporty day. But aside from those steps, I actually find it much cooler that with the Fitbit Sense you can track and manage your stress levels.

This morning I did a ‘quick’ scan (place your hand on the device and breathe in and out for two minutes) and saw exactly how many EDA responses were triggered. A bit of a technical story, but that watch is so smart that it can feel in your palm whether you are stressed. Is the answer yes? Then you get tips to de-stress. The Relax app can help you take moments of rest with guided breathing sessions. I just started the day by looking at a purple circle that went from small to large for four minutes and I must say: it works. It's the little moments of coming back to yourself that often get overlooked. And just like with exercising, meditating starts with the first steps. From two minutes to five and then to ten per day. Watch me: in a few weeks I can meditate. Yay.
