The first tattoo I got was in Copenhagen. Not really on a whim, because I knew what it had to be, but you could call it a rather spontaneous action. For the second one, I did my research. I wanted an artist, a custom design, someone who knew what they were doing, because yes: I also wanted a woman as a tattoo artist. I reached out to Amber from Ink Meesters. Her studio is located in downtown Haarlem and it’s so relaxed there that you’d prefer to stay the rest of the day. She has even done two (!) tattoos that I will carry with love for the rest of my life. This is just a shout-out and tip: if you’re looking for a place, Amber is absolutely a master in her craft.
