Since corona entered my life (I can hardly imagine it any other way now), I find myself celebrating themed days more often. Or theme evenings. A Spanish night, a pizza night, an American snack night, that sort of thing. The pizza night was a huge success, so now I'm taking it up a notch with an Italian evening. In other words: only the best Italian dishes on the table. And because I wanted to do it as authentically as possible, I didn't just pop into the Appie for supplies, no, I went to Novitalia Appetito, located in the Amsterdam Houthavens. A gigantic Italian delicatessen or supermarket where you literally find everything for your ultimate Italian theme night.

Now I understand that it's a bit of an undertaking to go here if you don't live in Amsterdam, but don't worry: they also have a webshop. If you want the freshest burrata, it's handy to go to the store itself, but online you can get quite far. All kinds of pasta you can think of, all sauces (ready-made in jars or to make yourself), and — what makes me very happy — also Italian sweet snacks. Like Italian Kinder, which we don't have in the Netherlands.

My shopping cart is completely full and I have enough for an orphanage. Buon Appetitooooo.
