Visiting the set of F*ck de Liefde part 2

f*ck de liefde backstage

Whether I was interested in a trip to Ibiza to visit the latest Dutch Netflix film. Well, you don't have to ask this Netflix addict twice. My suitcase was practically packed when I replied that I would love to be there, and before I knew it, I was on the plane. Off to the set of F*ck de Liefde part 2.

Part one has been shown in Dutch cinemas (and it did really well) and it is still currently on Netflix. It also performed bizarrely well there, by the way: it even made it into the top 10 of Netflix — worldwide. What? It turns out that we in the Netherlands are not the only ones who enjoy a bad romcom. Because yes, it is a bit of that. This won't get an Oscar nomination but it is definitely one that is delightful to watch. Thanks to the cast, but also because of the lovely setting: part 1 took place in Curaçao and part two in Ibiza. Not too shabby, right?

The cast also has some new faces. Thijs Römer is being replaced by Geza Weisz. Literally. HAHA, I found this really hilarious: just the same role but played by a completely different actor. Very As The World Turns-like and I love that. Additionally, Dorian Bindels and Juvat Westendorp have joined the cast, so they were also wandering around in Ibiza.

This was my first experience on a film set and it was so much fun to be a part of. From the rehearsals to actually filming a scene from different angles: so much work goes into it.

I also spoke with the cast, so this is definitely a to be continued — it will be released on Netflix in 2022 but no worries, I will remind you by then because this is going to be another delightful film to watch. I'm also ready for a nice Dutch romcom again.
