SEE: the docu about Snelle on Netflix

That you just make numbers that are all impossible to get out of my head, that's quite an achievement. Without me knowing it, I sing along word for word to every hit by Snelle, and his new song with Maan has also been on my repeat list for the last few weeks. Do you know that feeling, that you listen to songs so often in a short time that it’s guaranteed to cause an overload? That’s also the case with Snelle's songs. I'm just a reasonable perseverer, so that overload almost never happens to me, much to the annoyance of my friends, by the way.

But besides the fact that Snelle has a talent for hits and is incredibly musical, he is especially a very nice guy. And how do I know that? Because I watched his documentary on Netflix, Zonder Jas Naar Buiten. Now I have the feeling that I at least got to know him a little bit. And that’s good, because Snelle is really very nice.

Besides the fact that he is very nice, this documentary also provides an interesting glimpse into his life. I don’t really pay much attention to the people behind artists, so to me, Snelle just suddenly appeared. With the monster hit Reünie, you couldn’t ignore him anymore, but what he actually did before that? I. Had. No. Idea.

Going Outside Without a Jacket shows how Snelle got here, how hard he has worked for his success, and how much fun he has had. But also how the coronavirus has had a huge impact on him. No more performances is of course quite a blow for an artist.

If you are looking for a feel-good movie, just watch this feel-good documentary. I’ve kind of fallen in love with Snelle, and I bet you will too after watching this documentary.
