Why you want to see Wonder Woman 1984 now

The last time I went to the cinema, I seriously can't even remember. Anyway, before corona, but when, which movie, where? No. Idea. Since corona, I also keep all movie nights just at home, even when the cinema was open. There is enough to see on Netflix, so plenty of choices. Especially when movies skip the whole cinema and go straight to a streaming service.

We saw this earlier with Mulan, which was exclusively available on Disney+ (for a hefty price, that it was). But more importantly — for me at least, because this seemed much more fun — this is also the case with Wonder Woman 1984, which will be available at Pathé Thuis starting tomorrow. So not on the big white screen, but just in your home cinema.

So yes, be jealous: I've already seen it. Now it's already out in America, so you could look up some reviews (which I haven't done, by the way), but I will also transform into a reviewer for the occasion.

Is it a recommendation? I honestly thought so. No, it's not a movie you'll be talking about for years or that will win an Oscar, but I'm not always in the mood for that either. It's a great watch, there are enough jokes (thanks in part to Kristen Wiig) in it, and the special effects are top-notch. And did I already mention that I have a girl crush on Gal Gadot? Just because of her, it already gets a passing grade.

Okay, as an objective reviewer, I'm doing pretty poorly, but it's seriously a fun superhero movie, you definitely won't be bored for a second, and I really felt the cinema vibe. That probably also comes from the fact that it's quite a spectacular film. And did I already mention that Gal Gadot is in it?.

So it will be available at Pathé Thuis starting tomorrow, so stock up on popcorn and a big advantage: at home, you're always better off than in those cinema seats.
