Wearing sunglasses makes you really happier

Wearing sunglasses makes you really happier

I find it extremely plausible that you are happier with sunglasses than without, because it is of course connected to the fact that the sun is shining and then my happiness level immediately jumps up seventeen steps.

But it goes further than that.
The Università degli Studi Gabriele d’Annunzio conducted research on the beach into the happiness experience of people with and without sunglasses, also looking at the happiness experience of people who looked into the sun.

What turned out: people wearing sunglasses were happier. The scientific reason lies in the fact that if you don't wear sunglasses, you probably frown to protect your eyes from the bright light. And that frown is associated by your brain with being angry. And even if you're not, you still have that angry feeling. Just like you become happier by pretending to laugh.

So: If you were looking for an excuse to treat yourself to a new pair of sunglasses, you’ve got it now. And of course, it’s also better against wrinkles. Voilà, second excuse.
