Fan of Inventing Anna? Then you'll want to see this interview

Anna Delvey:Sorokin

The series Inventing Anna is currently quite a thing on Netflix and that makes sense, because it is quite a bizarre story. How a fake socialite scammed people for thousands of euros, and how everyone fell for it with their eyes wide open. Couldn't miss it, right? A perfect recipe for a Netflix hit.

Now here’s the thing: I didn’t think it was that great. A bit… Boring? I found it so much more interesting to see the real Anna Delvey, or Sorokin, because the series felt unnecessarily dramatized at times. The story itself is already interesting enough, why does it need to have such a Hollywood touch? That wasn’t necessary for me. I’m still on episode 4; I’m not really getting through it.

Recognizable? Then you definitely want to see this YouTube video. It’s from the Australian program 60 Minutes, in which they cover two topics. And you guessed it: one of these topics was Anna Delvey/Sorokin. It’s not a new video, it dates back to April 2021, and shows an extensive interview with the one and only Anna. What struck me immediately is that the accent of actress Julia Garner is quite exaggerated, but that her sassiness is not exaggerated in the series. This girl can seriously come off quite feisty.

While the series Inventing Anna lasts several episodes, this interview unfortunately only lasts about half an hour, but I hope that Netflix will also release a documentary about this Anna. I guess she would be open to it, since the girl loves money and she currently needs it. Has this just been a life hack? Pretending to be rich, getting caught, attracting Netflix's attention, and still becoming rich. Hmm, maybe worth a try.
