Netflix tip of the day: Buying Beverly Hills

It really feels like ages before we get that new season of Selling Sunset, so I went looking for an alternative. Now I must honestly admit that I found the last season a bit tiring as well, because that troublemaking from Christine we're already familiar with and it's been a long time since it could be called innovative. I didn't really find it entertaining anymore either. But no worries, because I went looking for a replacement and I succeeded. And how. Buying Beverly Hills is your new favorite, just trust me.

I had heard of it before, because The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been my ultimate guilty pleasure for years. If you watch that too, then you are familiar with Kyle Richards and maybe also with her husband Mauricio Umansky. The latter first worked for Richard Hilton (the father of Paris and Nicky), but eventually started his own real estate business called The Agency. And that real estate office is exactly what Buying Beverly Hills is all about.

We see Mauricio a lot, but also two of his daughters (whom he has with Kyle): Farah and Alexia. They both work at his office and sell gigantic multi-million dollar villas. Yep, in this program you can again dream away at all the bizarre luxury of Los Angeles. Delightful.

But of course there is also drama. I really think it resembles the first season of Selling Sunset: the perfect balance between those beautiful houses and the interpersonal drama. I binged the first four episodes last night: it flows wonderfully and I want to become a realtor again. I felt the same after I watched Selling Sunset for the first time, so this phase will probably pass as well. But still: highly recommended.
