The private jet of this celeb is the worst for the environment

It was quite a thing last week: Kylie Jenner and Drake taking flights of less than half an hour with their private jet. They received heaps of criticism; because is that really necessary? Kylie flew a mere three minutes with her jet instead of making a forty-minute car ride. The difference is, of course, that such a private jet is really gi-gantic-ally bad for the environment in terms of CO2 emissions. While I dutifully pay the CO2 costs with every plane ticket to reduce my ecological footprint, those Hollywood celebs ruin everything for us. They have at least never heard of flight shame.

You would think that such an action from Kylie Jenner is really the ultimate peak, but unfortunately... Yard released a list of the top ten celebs who are the worst for the environment; their private jets emit the most CO2. Bizarrely: in total, the celebrities with their jets are responsible for 3376.64 tons of CO2. Hoooly shitballs. To put it in perspective: that is per celeb 482.37 times as much as we, the ordinary citizens, contribute to CO2 emissions per year.

But who is going to walk away with the dubious honor in this top ten? Yaaa, I’m really bummed about that. It’s actually my big idol Taylor Swift. Her private jet flew no less than 170 times in the past 212 days. According to her management, she often lends out her jet, so she is not personally responsible for all these flights. It’s lame that she has never lent it to this superfan, but oh well. Taylor herself doesn’t like bad publicity and immediately donated $10,000 to a charity that focuses on climate change.

And what about Kylie Jenner, who the whole internet criticized for her private jet use? She doesn’t even make it into the top ten. By the way, that list contains more surprises: Blake Shelton? Oprah Winfrey?
