These celebs seem to be difficult to work with

celebs working together, Julia Roberts on the red carpet. Charlie Sheen interview and Shannen Doherty

I have absolutely no experience with acting myself, unless you count my group eight musical where I played a man with a mustache, but I still find it such a fascinating world. Especially because it is incomparable to any other job. Take your behavior in the workplace: if you give someone a bitch slap à la Will Smith at The Rock, I think that would be rated medium. Or you might just get thrown out of the company right away. And I understand that too.

But not in Hollywood, you know. There you can just show up completely drunk as an actor and they might complain about you, but it often gets kept quiet and they still find it most important that you perform your role. I don't know any other profession where that can happen. Or that as an actor you can demand that assistants are not allowed to look you straight in the eye. How is that even possible? Anyway, I really find that a ridiculous demand, and that would not be accepted at the companies I have worked for.

Fortunately, not all Hollywood stars are like that (and for many who are, it won't come out), but a handful are known to be the most difficult on set.

1. Julia Roberts
Sorry, I know she is really a beloved actress, but she always gives me a bit of mean girl energy. Apparently, she was like that for a while when she played the role of Tinkerbell in the movie Hook (1991) with Robin Williams, Dustin Hoffman, and Steven Spielberg. The latter was the director and found her so annoying that he gave her the nickname Tinkerhell. Honestly: pretty funny. This was during her break-up with actor Kiefer Sutherland, so she was probably not in a good place. The worst hate is probably over now, but collaboration is no longer an option.

This one won't surprise you. Charlie Sheen, yes, that actor who has had thousands of public outbursts, most likely has a narcissistic personality disorder. Although he hasn't been officially diagnosed, Charlie has been surprisingly honest about his behavior. Thinking he always won everything and literally had 'tiger blood.' Yes... At one point, Charlie thought he was everything, and you could see that in how he treated others. In his
He was the star of Two And A Half Men, but even that didn't stop them from eventually firing him. So you can really go too far (even in Hollywood). Sheen was mainly busy partying during this series and shouting that he had Tiger Blood (or was that just after his dismissal?), much to the irritation of the crew. Co-creator Chuck Lorre eventually bore the brunt of it, becoming the victim of ‘a series of increasingly grim unpredictable outbursts’, according to his lawyer.

3. Shannen Doherty
Another case where it got so bad that she was sent away from the show Beverly Hills, 90210, notably by her own colleagues who ‘voted her out’. Co-actor Jason Priestley wrote in his autobiography about Shannen that ‘she truly did not give a shit’ and that she even complained when her manager picked her up in a regular car instead of a limousine. She was quite the diva back then.

4. Christian Bale
One of my favorite actors, but unfortunately not really a pleasure on set. He seems to essentially be a pretty angry person who takes everything very seriously, and many people working on set suffer because of it. In 2009, a video was leaked showing how he goes terribly off on the crew. See below to get a bit of an idea of how he can be.

5. Chevy Chase
This man seems to be the worst of this entire list. He seems so stupid that I actually don't want to see any more movies or series with him. And that's a shame because Community, in which he starred, is quite fun. He doesn't think so himself, though; he called the series ‘a f*cking mediocre sitcom’. Additionally, he filled the voicemail of the creator with screams and predicted that he would ‘die young’. Oookay. He was also seen on Saturday Night Live, but he behaved so antisocially there that he was never allowed to return. He has caused so much trouble with people in his career that Gawker dedicated a pretty long article to it, which is worth reading. If you don't have time for that, here's a good summary: Chevy Chase is really a jerk.
