Chloe: this series will be your new addiction

In no time rushed through Stay Close and captivated by Tinder Swindler? Then you are more than ready for this new thriller series called Chloe. BBC One launched this series last week and it will soon be available on Prime Video as well. I expect quite a bit from it, as Alice Seabright is involved in this production; she was one of the writers of Sex Education. The dialogues in Sex Education were so sharp and witty, hopefully we will see that in this series as well. Moreover, Erin Doherty plays the lead role, I am also a fan of this actress, due to her role as Princess Anne in The Crown.

The series is about Becky Green (so Erin Doherty) who has been completely captivated by Chloe Fairbourne (Poppy Gilbert) for some time, a girl she follows on social media but does not know personally. She seems to lead the ideal life and Becky constantly compares herself to her. Chloe has the perfect husband, ambitious friends, and her life is completely in contrast to that of Becky. Becky takes care of her mother who suffers from dementia and lives in a small flat in Bristol.

When Chloe suddenly dies, Becky decides to pose as someone named Sarah, to find out what happened to Chloe. In this obsession with Chloe, she completely loses it, she would prefer to be her. That sounds pretty creepy, right? The series is said to have a surprising plot and the trailer (which reveals little) looks exciting and mysterious. Unfortunately, we still have to be patient, as it is not yet clear when Prime Video will put the series online. But well, it is definitely something to look forward to.
