YES: coffee is good for our skin

Do you also feel so incredibly happy from coffee in the morning? Just that wonderful smell of freshly ground beans, which by the way also ensures – scientifically proven – that we can open our sleepy eyes more easily. This is exactly how I experience it: without coffee, I am not getting awake.
In addition to the nice morning ritual and the subsequent energy boost, there are also a lot of health benefits to drinking coffee. Various studies show that caffeine reduces depression, can prevent type 2 diabetes, and lowers the risk of Parkinson's disease. In other words: coffee contributes to a long and happy life. Fantastic, right?
But that was not all, because today I discovered something else beautiful about coffee, namely that caffeine can improve our skin. What a magical substance it is, huh? Here’s how it works: caffeine has an antioxidant effect, which can reduce the formation of wrinkles and the accumulation of moisture. This is also the reason why caffeine is often included in, for example, eye creams for your bags. I have been using The Ordinary serum for years and I now realize that it indeed contains caffeine.
In addition, it has been scientifically proven that applying ground coffee to the skin reduces the breakdown of collagen due to UV radiation. Caffeine really contributes to a fuller, stronger, and healthy skin. I am sure: I will never ban coffee from my life.
Last but not least, this magical ingredient also helps against cellulite. Incredible, right? This is because caffeine stimulates fat breakdown in our legs, so a homemade coffee scrub is a very good idea.
So, drinking and applying coffee works wonders. Therefore, let’s put a jar of ground beans in our kitchen and bathroom.
