Date inspiration for the cold months

Outside it is starting to get icy cold again, and thus officially comes an end to that lovely hot girl summer. Sad but true. Personally, I actually enjoy disappearing back into my winter den. Still, I can imagine that not everyone is jumping for joy; those autumn and winter months are not exactly sexy months. For example, many sunny dating options are off the table: no more terraces and no beach walks, and you can forget about a boat trip as well. That is quite a bummer.
So what can you do if you want to date during the fall and winter? I can already hear my dear singles thinking: are there any other options besides the cinema or a crappy walk with glühwein? Well, there definitely are. Here they come:
1. Visit another city
You really don't have to go to Paris for that first date, but why would you go to your regular café for the umpteenth time? There are undoubtedly plenty of fun cities in the Netherlands where you and your date have never been. How nice is it to explore a new place together? Take the train together and make it a day out: adventure guaranteed.
2. Visit a Christmas market
What is cozier and more enjoyable than a Christmas market? Exactly, nothing at all. Strolling around together, getting food from stalls, and – okay, here it comes again – drinking some glühwein. The ideal place for a first date, if you ask me.
3. Visit the theater
I am still a fan of cinema dates, but going to the theater is definitely more of an experience. Here you can really make an evening out of it, dress up nicely, and test each other's patience. Small tip: don't go straight to a four-hour play, but choose something that lasts a maximum of two hours.
4. Attend a stand-up comedy show
If there is one thing that people look for in a partner, it is often humor. That's why I think it's a great idea to go to a stand-up comedy show with your date. This way, you can immediately find out if you can laugh a bit with him/her. The ultimate test.
5. Visit a museum
This may sound boring, but it really depends on where you go. So make sure you are in charge of where this date will take place. Not in the mood for paintings and classical art? Then go to the NXT Museum in Amsterdam, where you can stroll through the coolest rooms with light installations. Nothing boring about it, especially not for a first date.
6. Take a dance workshop
For this, you both need to step out of your comfort zone, but then you have something. Does your date have a bit of loose hips and is there chemistry between you? Well, you will find out during a salsa lesson.
7. Go to the arcade
If you know you are extremely competitive, then I would maybe postpone this one. If not? Then I think arcades are really the best place for a date. I had one of my best dates ever at the TonTon Club, despite the fact that nothing else came of it. That says enough, right?
8. A spa day
I can imagine that you find it a bit intense to sit completely naked in front of your date, but fortunately, there are plenty of places where you can just walk around in swimwear. Steaming together, bubbling in the jacuzzi with a glass of champagne, and finishing with a duo massage? Your date won't get more relaxed than that. date won't get more relaxed than that.
9. Sing karaoke
As a big karaoke lover, I think this is a mega good idea. Unfortunately, I have never had such a date, but on the other hand, I probably wouldn't be with my boyfriend now. I do recommend having a drink together beforehand to build up some courage, because full commitment is really required at karaoke. Coincidentally, I know that they have Happy Hour at ‘24K’ karaoke (in the Reguliers) from ten to eleven, so make sure to take advantage of that.
10. A visit to the Winter Efteling
According to research, the amusement park is the absolute best place for a first date, so it certainly cannot be missing from this list. Okay, it will take a little while, but from November 14, the Winter Efteling will be open. YES. The park will then be transformed into a fairytale paradise full of twinkling lights, little stoves, campfires, an ice rink, and all the coziness you expect from it. Perfect for that first date. kendall jenner and her boyfriend sitting together in the kitchen.
