Why I'm secretly glad that summer is over

Am I the only one who doesn't mind that there are already ginger nuts in the supermarket? Secretly, I'm looking forward to autumn again and even a bit to winter. Okay, undoubtedly in three months I'll be deep in a winter depression, but at this moment, these rainy days make me quite happy. Curling up on the couch and not having to go outside anymore: it's high time to cocoon again. What a nice prospect, I must say.
Are you actually sad that summer is over? Then I've made a list for you below with things to look forward to:
1. You can wear delicious warm and soft clothes again
Tracksuits, onesies, big woolen sweaters, in other words: all the clothes you want to live in can be pulled out of the closet again. A pair of thick fleece socks to complete the look; you can't make me happier.
2. The house can become a cozy den again
Candles on, curtains closed, and soft blankets on the couch. Come on, that's pretty cozy, right?
3. The cinema season is open again
If there's one thing I really miss during the summer, it's going to the cinema. Of course, you can watch movies all year round, but who goes to the cinema when it's 26 degrees? I find that quite unappealing. Moreover, the selection of films increases significantly towards autumn, so I'm more than ready to visit the cinema weekly again.
4. Shopping for winter coats and boots
My favorite activity every year is finding the perfect winter coat and a nice pair of boots. A lovely coat you can disappear into that is also stylish; that's of course the ultimate goal. My search starts today.
5. No more pressure to work on your ‘summer body’
Exercising like crazy because summer is almost here: you can completely let that go from now on. Okay, you don't have to neglect yourself suddenly, but the pressure does ease a bit. It's time to prepare the winter body, which is why those ginger nuts are probably already in the store.
6. You can more easily get out of social obligations
Why? Well, because it's raining, for example, or maybe it will hail soon. Does anyone still want to bike then? In cold weather, social obligations decrease significantly compared to summer. Let that be something that makes me incredibly happy. Time to recharge my social battery for the next summer.
7. Unlimited food delivery without guilt
The UberEats season is also starting again, because with all that rain, you can definitely order some food, right? Imagine catching a cold on the way to the supermarket. We can't have that, of course.
8. You have all the time to binge-watch Netflix again
All the series still on your to-watch list, now is the perfect time for that. And what about the new (bad) Christmas movies that are already on Netflix? Exactly, we obviously need to watch all of those thoroughly.
