Expedition Robinson: the aftershow episode 4

Yay, we survived Monday again and I must say: it's a lot easier since Expedition Robinson has started again. At least you have something to look forward to on the first day of the week. Yes, that may sound intense, but I really hate Mondays. Until now. Well, those hellish trials really raise my blood pressure higher than is healthy for me, because they were tough again. Luckily, I was safely under a blanket on my couch and of course I have a lot to say about it again.
1. ‘I get Dev too: a little student, Amsterdam…’ Huh? Devrim is a big pub quiz master. A little more respect, please.
2. Devrim: ‘My tactic at the beginning of the game is to not do too much.’ ... Okay, I take that back. Just be a bit more of a team player, student-like little Amsterdammer.
3. My reaction to this trial was honestly an intense groan. What. A. HELL. Again.
4. We learn something new every episode. Today: Harry was a clown in a circus. Whut? Yes, definitely. There is also just proof of that.
5. ‘Guys, keep your cool, but don’t take that too literally, because the bucket above your head is filled with ice water.’ I choose to believe that Rick wasn’t allowed to make a really good joke because they would definitely drop those bags.
6. But still: this one is really a category of its own in terms of badness, you know. Meine gute.
7. Harry also puts both bags on top of each other. Besides endurance, he also makes it a balance test. Harry is not afraid.
8. I seriously think Thijs is going to be the first to drop out. Maybe the fittest, but he’s not steady. Harry, he’s the one who is steady.
9. Harry: ‘But I hear Rick saying all sorts of things and I find that quite annoying.’ You’re not alone, Harry, we here at home are sometimes fed up with it too.
10. OH NO, Harry. What are you doing? How can you do this to your inner clown?
11. Does Rose Bertram still not realize that she is not on a social media detox in Malaysia? That she will come back completely rested, tanned, and zen after 30 days. Aahh, lovely. Again next year?
12. Dennis: ‘You should never underestimate your opponent.’
Also Dennis: *underestimates Devrim*
13. The trials for the Island Council are many times more exciting and a lot more happens, but at least I understand that immunity trial in one go. My only thought was: holy f*cking shit, when I heard how heavy all those coconuts were together.
14. Did anyone think beforehand that Harry was such a powerhouse with those trials? Surprise of the season so far.
15. Wow, but this final situation is quite exciting. What a terror. With all those kilos and that little tower. I’m really getting completely fidgety here in front of the TV.
16. That defeated look on Niek’s face when he only had to get one ball five seconds ago and now Nicolette comes with the news that six is enough instead of eight. And he just had seven. I would throw things if I were him. Why is no one protesting about this?
17. By the way, it has now happened in almost every episode that the rules were changed because it took too long. Do other countries also struggle with this or does the Netherlands just perform terribly?
18. Okay, that Kirsten has to leave isn’t really a surprise… But it’s really going to be a stallion ball there in that camp. Only Chatilla is left and her head is also on the proverbial chopping block if they lose again next week. Yes, I’m throwing around proverbs in the meantime.
19. Every time they turn those two heads around for the eliminated person to see if he/she is saved, it’s such a dead duck. Nicolette and Rick already know that she won’t be saved, so why make it so exciting? Kirsten has already been sent home by her team, so I find it a bit silly every time.
20. But next week looks exciting again, you know. Monday night is enjoyable again.
21. Shall we throw in some fun tweets too? Of course.
Production: team green is getting very close, let’s quickly adjust the rules now that orange is in the lead. Big chance they can win then [too unfair] #expeditierobinson

#ExpeditieRobinson if you read all the tweets back, it’s noticeable how many people are annoyed by something. And then tweet this again. I’m annoyed by all those people who tweet that they are annoyed by something.

Being nice after voting someone out is the same as the government empathizing with the energy crisis, you get nothing out of it. #ExpeditieRobinson

#ExpeditieRobinson really… washing noses with those photos, making someone happy with a dead duck. pic.twitter.com/VuywHpcHUg

So false and unnecessary, that fuss with those photos at the end. #expeditierobinson

Meanwhile at the production of #ExpeditieRobinson
‘Uh.. This is never going to work for her’…
‘Just change the rules’…
‘But green has already stacked 7 pieces’…
‘Doesn’t matter now they are equal. Just do 6 pieces then we can have lunch.’.

huh?! changing the rules during the game but in such a way that… one of the teams had already completed the trial 3 times with the new rules? and then you lose? #expeditierobinson
