Het mooiste huis van Amsterdam staat te koop

I saw Nicoline Beerkens in a newspaper some time ago with her house and I immediately went with screeching tires to her Instagram account. Because this woman captures exactly, but then also exactly what I want in a house. Warmly embracing classic, color dances with neutral shades, there is room for craziness and cheerfulness, but the dominant tone is class, elegance, and tranquility. And what did she share today with her followers? Her house is for sale. In case you had no intention of moving to Amsterdam-Zuid, or maybe your budget doesn't quite allow it (both causes united can also be: no bulging budget and thus no Amsterdam-Zuid urge), then it is still delightful to peek at all the beauty, and you will definitely pick up some nice interior tips. And as for Nicoline: follow that woman. She is going to Portugal with her posse, so at least more beauty is on the way.
1. Tidy up
Everything at Nicoline is (really not always, she is also a human) tidy and there is especially not too much in her house. Something I have to take extra lessons for every day.
2. Choose round doors
Everyone has kind of steel doors (and a herringbone floor for that matter), which is of course understandable because that is beautiful, but I find a round gate-like door just a bit next level and even more fun if the steel is painted in a different color than black, such as army green, copper, or very dark brown. Nicoline's are from home and I find them stunning.
3. Choose bold wallpaper
Wallpaper like a Gobelin, or a wall tapestry. It can be quite present in texture, maybe even feel soft or stick out a bit. Important that you don't cover the whole room, but just one wall with such an eye-catcher.
4. Utilize that little corner
Like Nicoline did in her daughter's nursery. She literally filled it with a bench. On both walls, a pronounced, but not attention-grabbing pink wallpaper and a unique, cozy corner was ready.
5. Natural materials never go out of style
Wood, marble; it can always be and it always remains beautiful.
Curious when this house is sold. Probably by the time you read this already.
