Kourtney Kardashian under fire for her parenting style

kourtney kardashian and her children

When I used to go on vacation with my parents and my brother, I was always incredibly nervous. Because: we would leave in the middle of the night by car and they would wake me up, and I always found that intensely exciting. Is it time yet? How many hours do I still have to wait? But also: on the way, it's time for the Maccie. Hatseeee. The people who know me know that my love for the Mac is great, and it has always been that way. We didn't go there often, only on special occasions like vacation, and my brother and I really made it a sport to spot the first golden ‘M’ from the highway. And in the first years, it was a Happy Meal for me, and eventually, the time came: I was big enough for a Big Mac menu. Why do people say ‘you really become a woman when you get your period for the first time’? That's not true; you become one when you transition from Happy Meal to Big Mac menu.

Well, these are nice memories from the past (and now I really feel like McDonald's), which I know for sure that Kourtney Kardashian's kids will unfortunately never have. Kourtney is currently under fire due to an interview she gave to WSJ. Magazine. She spoke with them regarding the launch of her new brand Lemme. These are vegan supplements that Kourtney is going to bring to the market.

In this interview, it was also about her parenting style. She has three children with Scott Disick: Mason (12), Penelope (10), and Reign (7). If you've seen Keeping Up With The Kardashians, you probably remember the birthday party that Kourtney wanted to organize for Penelope: the theme was candy, but there was no candy present. Everything had to be vegan and sugar-free and above all: healthy. Even sister Kim really disagreed with that.

But Kourtney indicates that she still provides her children with only healthy food. She talks about something that recently happened to her when she was alone with her oldest son Mason.

From WSJ. Magazine: ’He said: ‘Mom, I really want McDonald's fries today, please. It's been a year since I've had them,’ Kourtney shared. ‘I said: ‘Today is not that day, sorry.’’

And that anecdote rubs many people the wrong way because Kourtney is said to be quite extreme in her healthy lifestyle — and she imposes that on her kids as well. Well, the Maccie is not healthy, but life should also be fun for kids, right? If you're twelve and begging your mom for some fries and she refuses... I hope someone treats Mason to an afternoon at McDonald's after this interview.
