This is the new series on Netflix that everyone is talking about

If you haven't had summer on your mind with this warm weather, you should definitely put on Surviving Summer tonight. It has recently been added to Netflix and I can tell you: it's hot. Hot and steamy. And it also contains an abundance of one of my guilty pleasures, namely Australian accents. Yes, sorry, but who can resist those?

It certainly seems that way, as the series is a complete hit. The gigantic fit body of Kai Lewins, who plays the lead role of Ari Gibson, probably has something to do with it. Or could it be the ironclad plotline? Nah...

Surviving Summer revolves around Summer Torres, a rebellious teenager from Brooklyn who is sent to Australia. To be more specific: to Shorehaven, along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. There, she quickly falls in love with the Australian lifestyle, the sea, surfing, and of course — you guessed it — Ari Gibson.

Maybe not an Oscar-worthy storyline, but this series is so enjoyable to watch, I must say. I understand why it is currently a massive hit worldwide. And Australia has reclaimed a high spot on my bucket list. Give me a summer like this Summer, and quickly.
