This is the reason you dream about your boss

We all know that feeling of taking our work home with us, or in this case to bed, because after all, we work from home all day. It can happen that you wake up in the morning and come to the realization that you dreamed about your boss. Or you find out during your Zoom meeting when you suddenly get a strange flashback while you are in conversation. But did you know that such a dream doesn't always have to do with him or her? Although you probably think you are going overboard with your work, there could be another explanation.

In some cases, it does have something to do with your boss. According to dream expert Lauri Loewenberg, this can happen because there is an unsolved situation between you that you are processing during your sleep. That sounds quite logical to me, since you are probably dealing with it all day.

But such a dream can also have a completely different meaning. It can represent your own ability to make difficult decisions. In that case, it may mean that you want to take more leadership or control over something. Your boss then merely symbolizes what you want to achieve.

According to Loewenberg, every person in your dream represents an aspect of yourself. Do you see your boss as a natural leader, for example? Then it may mean that you unconsciously want to take over this quality. When you dream about sex with your boss, it doesn't necessarily mean that you desire this, but that you want to adopt your boss's strong traits. Of course, this depends a bit on the situation, because if you find your boss incredibly attractive, I can't imagine that you are only after his/her strong traits.

Well, if you really dream about your supervisor very often and want to stop, then according to Loewenberg, there is a way to do this. You do this by figuring out what the meaning of your dream is. So check if there is still an unresolved situation or if the dream about your boss symbolizes certain traits that you would like to possess yourself (or that you might just be in love with your boss). By uncovering the meaning of your dreams, there is a chance that your subconscious will focus more on the symbolism from now on. In that case, your dreams will be more about what your boss represents and less about the person themselves.
