What you didn't know about the Super Bowl Halftime Show

Rihanna

Rihanna fans haven't always had it easy: her last album dates back to 2016 and since then it has been quite silent on the musical front. Her beauty line Fenty is doing great (and rightly so, as it contains really nice products), but when will we get another hit? Maybe it's really coming now, as Rihanna is going to perform the Halftime Show of the Super Bowl, one of the biggest events of the year.

At first, the rumor circulated that Taylor Swift would be doing this (and as an extremely big fan, I was of course very excited about it), but soon the NFL confirmed that this was not the case and shortly thereafter they came with the confirmation of Rihanna.

You might think that this is a big deal for Rihanna, such a huge event, but that's not true. Did you know that the artists get exactly ZERO dollars for their show? The NFL pays for the production, so the entire setup of the stage and all the staff, as well as the flights and accommodation. But for the show itself? Nope, the artists get nothing for that. The only thing the artists get in return is exposure.

Now I think that Rihanna is already famous enough and doesn't need the Super Bowl for that, unless she maybe has a new album or song that she wants to promote? Could it be? After six long years of waiting?
