Now that I live close to the beach (yes, I live at the beach, I live at the beach, I live at the beach), I suddenly feel the need for a complete beach wardrobe. And I don't mean bikinis and flip-flops, but those nice fluffy sweaters and cuddly jackets that you wear over jeans on a chilly Sunday morning. It should look a bit effortless, as if I didn't think about it. Which, of course, I did, you understand. In Scheveningen, there are stores like this, where I now occasionally walk in. Just the other week, I was looking for a cozy hat for my head, for when the wind hurts your ears. You probably know those days. But suddenly I walked past a rack and there she was. Red. Teddy-ish. Good hood. Cool details on the elbows. I cautiously approached it, turned the price tag over, and knew there was only one solution: save up. I am completely, utterly, head over heels, sorry for all this English chatter, in love with this jacket from Goldbergh. For the sake of it, I walked past the racks with hats, but soon I was back stroking the fabric of this amazing red jacket. I haven't tried it on yet because I felt a risk that it would have to come home with me. Of course, I could sit on the couch with it at home, which immediately lowers the energy bill a few degrees, and nowadays you can get it out so easily. Also nice for winter sports, of course, but until then I want to take her to the beach.
