When I told one of my best friends at the beginning of this year that I was pregnant, it quickly turned into ‘the baby shower’. What my wishes were, how I wanted it, and who I wanted to invite. Of course, I wasn't thinking about this for a second, but it's nice to have someone around who is the master at organizing events. My wishes weren't that special: a cozy lunch without games, diaper cakes, or decorating onesies.

Suddenly it was time: I was surprised (so much that the tears were streaming down my cheeks) by everyone I love. Those who couldn't make it had recorded a super fun video so they were still a little bit there. It was at a friend's house (who has the most beautiful house in Amsterdam) and the table was filled with the most delicious snacks that I secretly knew well: Sophie Eats. I live right next to this place and everything there is dangerously delicious. My favorite is undoubtedly the vegan peanuts chocolate bar, the white chocolate blondie, or the burrata with grilled vegetables – the quiche is also heavenly and the sausage roll too. Actually, there's nothing on the menu that doesn't make my heart race. Sophie Eats then, in Maasstraat, is where you need to be for the most delicious snacks, drinks for an event, wedding, or just for a daily to go.
