today-we-sleep-in the hotel Le Cavendish

Oooh guys, I had such a nice trip. And that just an hour and a half away, that really surprised me. I always think that sun, sea, beach, and the ultimate vacation feeling are far away, but I really need to rethink that now.

I went to the Côte d’Azur and it was truly enjoying 2.0. About six years ago I was there once, but back then I only spent a few days in Nice. Now there were more destinations on the agenda: Cannes, Grasse, Antibes, and Monaco. So. Intense. FUN. Really, this coast has surprised me so much that I fear my favorite coast near Valencia has gained a serious competitor.

And this week on the French Riviera started off so incredibly nice. Cannes was our first stop and we slept in the hotel Le Cavendish, within walking distance of the boulevard. The suite (always nice to get an upgrade upon arrival) was so beautiful with all those little balconies around; truly the perfect vacation feeling. The other rooms were also worth it (and also with a balcony), and perhaps most importantly: the bed was wonderfully comfortable. As a bad sleeper, I always find that very important.

Oh no, maybe the most important thing was that they serve various French wines for free (I repeat: free) every day from half past six to half past eight in the restaurant. With snacks. From prosecco to a nice light rosé, everything is ready. And those snacks were also top-notch, with the tastiest olives I've had in ages.

So believe me: if you're heading to the Côte d’Azur: you want to book this hotel. For me, this is definitely the nicest hotel I've stayed in this year.
