See: first images of new Netflix romcom

Woohoo, I have some good news on this sunny Monday. A blockbuster of a movie is coming to Netflix. I predict: a contender for an Oscar. What am I saying? Multiple Oscars. It can't be otherwise. People will be talking about this for years to come.

No. None of it is true, except that there is indeed a new movie coming. However, it's just a delightful romcom, and isn't that just fine? In fact, I often crave a meaningless romcom more than a heavy Oscar winner, so this is just fantastic news.

It's called Wedding Season and it revolves around Asha. She is a young woman, extremely busy with her work and very ambitious. So there is no time for a relationship, and she is not going to make time for one either, because her work comes first. But... her parents don't really agree with that, as they would prefer to see their daughter tie the knot.

Asha is tired of her parents‘ nagging and to get them off her back, she says ’yes' to a date with Ravi, not expecting anything serious to come of it. Now, I haven't seen the movie yet, but I guess it could very well be love between those two.

In short, a plot we've definitely seen before, but we're all going to watch it anyway. Am I right? Mark August 4th in your calendar, because that's when it will be on the streaming service.
