Question: am I the only one who sometimes still finds it difficult to find the right balance post-corona? Many people have mainly started working from home and I thought I would find that the most pleasant, but I increasingly notice that I get distracted too quickly at home. This is due to various things (upcoming moves, heat at home, too much on your mind that you are reminded of at home) and I can only ‘escape’ that when I'm not at home. Sometimes quite inconvenient, because I can't handle too many stimuli either. At the office, it quickly gets too busy with too many conversations around me and then I can't focus either.

So it became a quest for me to find the ideal workplace in Amsterdam. At cafés, I also quickly find it gets too busy for me, and I don't want to be looked at when I occupy a table all day. Recognizable? Then I might have found the ideal solution, because my search has come to an end. I have found my new favorite flex workspace.

And the winner is... Spaces. I was already familiar with that name, but I didn't really know much about it. It turns out that Spaces has various locations throughout Amsterdam where you can take a subscription and work whenever you want. Really ideal. Personally, I have mainly been at Spaces Westerpark ; that is their newest location and it is really lovely there. You have different types of spaces, from quiet rooms to booths or desks that you can share with colleagues, but also meeting rooms (which are lit with a kind of fake sunlight that really works great) or soundproof rooms if you need to make a call. The lunch is also really recommended, made fresh every day by the Spanish employee of the ‘canteen’. On certain days, she also makes fresh pasta or pizza as a special. Looove it.

In total, they have ten locations in Amsterdam, of which I still have many to try out. The one on Herengracht is a lot smaller, but it is also a genuinely nice workplace. I also find the subscriptions really affordable and they are worth it for me every month completely. I haven't been this productive in ages, man.

And, if you don't live in Amsterdam: they have many more locations. In The Hague, Rotterdam, Utrecht, and Eindhoven they can also be found.
